In February Project Share celebrated its 10th anniversary. All the various stakeholders honoured Project Share in participating in the celebration. Speeches were held, cultural dance took place and refreshments were enjoyed.
From opening in September 2009 till the end of 2019, there were 792 admissions in Neesim Nutrition Centre which makes an average of 79 children per year and the average cure rate over the years was 81,3%.
In December 2009 Neesim School started with 3 classes KG1, KG2 and P1 with a total of 82 children with 5 teachers. Every academic year another class was added until today a full basic school was complete. The current enrolment is 417 pupil taught by 20 teaching staff. This year the 3rd batch was going to write the Basic Education Certificate Exam (BECE). Over the years training staff was key. The first 5 teachers employed in the beginning were untrained. Project Share enabled 10 teachers to attend distant teachers training to get their diploma in basic education. Today all the teachers are qualified.
We are thankful how God has provided over all these years, and enabled Project Share to grow into what it is today; a full basic school and the nutrition centre caring for those very vulnerable little children.
Many people have been blessed by the project, and we hope and pray that God will continue to bless people through Project Share.
